Farm Cottage with Views and Organic Veggie
Garden
The perfect getaway ...

An intimate alternative to our B &
B or the larger three-bedroom rental at Full House Farm, our Studio
Cottage is a cozy room with fully equipped kitchen, luxurious queen
pillowtop beneath an opening skylight, plus a full bath with
beautiful claw foot tub and shower under a skylight (Sleeps 1-2).
There are many different aspects
to this beautiful place in Sebastopol, West Sonoma County,
California. First and foremost, it is a 23-acre mostly wild land. We
have invited the wildlife to be at home here and for that reason you
will often be able to see deer, raccoon, bobcat, and fox.
Playing in the air currents above
the land on a daily basis are the graceful turkey vultures, chatty
red-shoulder hawks, and reserved, confident, red-tail hawks. All
visitors are welcome to enjoy the private walking trails that wind
through the forest, oak groves, and meadows on the property.
Our intimate and private,
turn-key, studio cottage vacation rental is well placed at the top
of the property for gorgeous sunset views. This cottage is
surrounded with lush, wild landscape, including oaks, pine, and bay
laurel viewed from the kitchen, dining area and deck.
The two-person hot tub is nestled
beneath majestic oaks where privacy is assured and views abound.
Inside this cottage, there is a
well designed living and sleeping area all in on room. The kitchen
is fully equipped and there is dining with a view of the oak grove
and westward hills. The dining table has the added pleasure of
transforming into a gaming table. Beneath the table cloth and the
glossy Italian inlaid woodwork of the table top lie checkers, chess,
a card table, backgammon, and a roulette wheel complete with all the
pieces. This table promises to keep you and your partner happy for
days! The bed is a comfortable pillowtop queen situated beneath an
opening skylight. There are bookshelves filled with interesting
books and magazines.
To further entertain you, there is
a full video library and flat screen DVD player that swivels for
viewing in either the dining area or living area.
Upon arrival you will drive down
your private drive and find the key waiting for you. Inside you will
find a bowl of fresh organic eggs from our own hens, locally baked
organic bread, coffee, tea, butter, and jam. On the table is a
complimentary bottle of local wine. Throughout the year, you are
welcome to stroll through our organically grown garden to pick fresh
fruits and vegetable for your meals. During the summer you can find
tomatoes, potatoes, corn, strawberries, string bean, cucumbers, and
more. In the winter there are a variety of veggies like broccoli,
cauliflower, and several types of lettuces. The best of Sonoma
County awaits you here!
If it is a farm experience you
desire, come and learn about the sheep, chickens, goats, and horses.
You can even assist us while we care for the animals. Tours are
available for small and large groups. You can learn about
micro-farming, organic foods, and sustainable living. There are
picnic facilities if you are planning just a visit for the day,
rather than an overnight stay.
One of the most attractive
activities here at Full House Farm revolves around the horses,
whether you are just visiting or would like to become a regular
student. Harmony With Horses is designed to invite you to learn
horses communicate with each other and how applicable that is to our
own relationships, with the horses being the real teachers and
Life-Coach, Christine Cole, skillfully guiding students. There are
mentoring programs for kids and inspiring, life-changing programs
for adults. This is not your ordinary horseback riding experience,
but rather a journey into the language of the horse. Christine's 35+
years of coaching is a rare find, unique in its depth and insight.
So, whether you are seeking an
intimate getaway, a quiet retreat, a home base for exploring Sonoma
County, or an experience on a farm or with horses that matches no
other, there is something here for you.
